I believe that short stories are the gut and grime of every writer’s persona. It’s where you can take all those raw emotions you keep tucked deep down inside and lay them out on a page because after all, it’s not really you anymore is it? It’s the characters you create to imitate the persona of what’s real. It’s those rash actions that you would never dare to act on but feel pretty bold when sprawled across the page in short bursts of energy. You want to really get to know your author, read their short stories; it’s where the diary of their hearts are hidden.
